Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Mood Money ("we") for using the Mood Money app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older, and use the app for your own personal finances.

2. What Mood Money is — and is not

Mood Money is a personal record of your spending and how you felt about it. It is not a bank, a payment service, or a lender. It cannot move money, and it does not give financial, investment, tax, legal or medical advice. Budgets, suggestions and nudges are prompts for your own judgement, not recommendations.

3. Accuracy

Banks and payment apps word their messages in many ways, so automatic capture can miss a transaction, or read an amount, payee, date or category wrongly. Check anything that matters against your bank statement. You can correct entries in the app and report ones it got wrong.

4. Your account

Your account is tied to your phone number. Keep your phone secure: anyone who can open the app on it can see your data. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

5. Your data

Your data is yours. We use it only to run the app for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. You can export it or delete your account at any time.

6. Fair use

Do not use the app unlawfully; try to reach anyone else's account or data; interfere with or overload the service; or copy, modify or reverse engineer it except as the law allows.

7. Changes to the app

The app is free. We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend or end the service; where we can, we will give notice in the app first.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

9. No warranty

The app is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors.

10. Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on what the app shows. Our total liability to you is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We will update this page and the date above when these terms change, and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
